Dr Sun Yat Sen’s memorial park – any idea who Dr Sun Yat Sen is? The first question popped up in my mind was, how come Dr Sun was buried in Nanjing and not Taiwan? He is a Chinese revolutionary and political leader often referred to as the ” father of modern China” and “Father of Taiwan”. We’ve been visiting temples, gardens, pond, lakes, etc, and this place brought us great feelings! That day when i was in Hangzhou, Angela told me she wants to see the pics we took at Dr Sun’s Memorial Park. and 2 days ago, mum said she wanna see the china pictures. I told her we took thousands of pictures, so it’s better if she tell me which day’s pictures she want to see. Guess what? she said i want to see the pictures we took on the day we visited Dr Sun’s Memorial Park. See.. everyone loves this place. In fact we visited his tomb, but i think i shouldn’t take any pic of it, would love to leave him in peace…

Miss tour-guide Chu chu brought us to the top 3 museum in China – the Nanking’s Museum. Her main purpose is to get us to buy some jade from the shop in there. So very quickly, she showed us the jade museum and we saw how people extract jade and etc, and the first picture u see, is a jade enclosure for dead bodies of the royal family. then we were brought into this Jade Shop. the sales person is scary, we told them the price is too high and they can give us 85% discount after some negotiations. But we still don’t want to buy, and they do not let us go out of the place. When i tried to leave that place from the shop entrance to check out this museum by myself, the security guard told me that if i were to get out from that entrance, i have to buy the entrance ticket again!! so we all waited inside the shop til someone in the tour group finally bought something, then only they show us the exit!!

When going around attractions, we often can see the City Wall of Nanjing, It was built by Emperor Zhu Yuan Zhang during 1300. But we don’t understand why are there people who do laundry there? mmm…

Later on we visited the Nanking Massacre’s Museum. This museum is indeed very good, but the problem is there are too many visitors and the tour-guide moved too fast. So we didn’t really enjoy this place. We would love to go around in our own pace, but we do not want the other tour-mates to wait for us at the end. I will write another post on this museum soon.

We were then at the Nanking longest Bridge – 长江大桥. It was built in 1968, its a double-deck railway bridge designed and built by the Chinese. 4,589 m long, 15 meters wide carriageway, railway bridge 6,772 meters long, 14 meters wide, thisplace was so windy and nice. After the tour-guide told us stories about the bridge, we were about the exit, but we ended up in a crystal shop! but there was this chamber where some handcrafts were displayed. Check out the crystal panda ball! there is a small hole down-there, and the artist use a fine paintbrush to draw the pandas. Amazing!
